Five Reasons to go Camping in the Fall

Our most favorite time of the year is almost here…Fall! The crisp leaves, the smell in the air, and the sweet joy of camping and hiking while the weather temperatures are just perfect. Fall camping is one of our favorite things to do during the months of September, October, and November. Heading off on a Friday for a long weekend somewhere new and adventurous is something we look forward to each week. We’ve put together our top reasons for going camping in the fall.

Temperature

When temperatures cool in the evening, grab your best wool blanket and curl up under the stars. The weather is often not too hot during the fall season, making it perfect sleeping weather. Choose from our gray wool blanket, green wool blanket, plaid wool blanket, and more. We offer the best camping blankets for the outdoor adventurer. Our merino wool blankets are woven to produce dense weave for optimal warmth and comfort. There’s nothing quite like holding onto a warm cup of coffee, wrapped in your camping blanket while watching the sunrise in the morning. What a way to kick off your day.

Scenery

Fall foliage…need we say more? Some of our most favorite leaf-peeping places are in New Hampshire and Vermont. But every state has their little gems. Combined with a warm wool blanket and warm mug of apple cider, leaf peeping during a camping expedition is a must-do. Less Bugs This is a big one! Say goodbye to pesky mosquitos and waking up with bites all over your face and legs. Once the temperatures drop, the bugs tend to stay away. This makes for an even more enjoyable camping experience.

Food

Fall food is a fun one. Using cast irons and creating meals around the campfire not only smell great, but they provide the fuel and energy needed to for a good hiking expedition.
